THE ENCHANTING CITY OF GOLD (TEXT VERSION)

Lucia takes a step of faith, as she leaves her home, finally saying good bye to the city where she had grown up and lived all her life. Will it all work out eventually? Only fate will tell. This was her entire thought the whole time she was on the travelling bus on her way to the city of gold. I've heard a lot about the city of gold. She mutters aloud. I wonder if it's true I can actually pick gold on the streets. A young man of about 28 years of age, who appeared to be sitting quietly right next to her the entire time sighed deeply then turns to face her. What do you think? Do you think it's possible to find gold on the street? She sighed quietly. I guess it’s all a rumor then. She continuous to stare admiringly at the young man amazing physical features. Thinking. Are all young men from gold city this handsome and attractive? The young man who seemed to have read into her thought answered with a smile. You don’t have to think all men from gold city are attractive just like me. Perhaps, you could say, only those who’re privileged enough to be raised from a healthy household. Lucia surprised. You sounded so accurate in reading my mind. The young man smiled. I guess it’s one of the unique gifts I possess as an aristocrat. Lucia surprised. The sound of your voice and aura says to believe your words but I’m still in doubt. You can say that because my appearance and how I approach and converse with people of less noble birth, does raise a question of if really, I’m nobility. I’m not very much offended by you doubting my identity, miss. You can call me Lucia. The young man smiled. As you wish miss Lucia.

Lucia curious. Pardon me to say, but are you really from the city of gold? He pauses for a while hesitating on his words, actually… I founded the city of gold. Lucia burst out laughing uncontrollably as the young man feels amazed by her innocent gesture. You don’t believe my words, do you? Pardon my manners, Sir but I believe, a founder of a city as famous and influential as the City of Gold will not be travelling on the same vehicle with me. The young man thought for a while…. Hmmm. I see. I will like to ask you a question and I will need your honest remark on it. If you were a princess and all of your life, you’ve lived in the confine of the castle, never experiencing the real world, how will you live when you finally found that freedom to be a commoner just for a day.

Lucia sighs deeply. That’s a very good question. I might not have the right answer you need Sire because I’ve never had the opportunity to live the life of influence and wealth like the rich do or people from nobility. If I could answer quite honestly, I believe as humans, we should be true to ourselves. Learn when to take a step back and observe. Is this really the best for me right now? Will it really make me happy? If it does make you happy, then you should go all in for it. Do what makes you feel excited about life. For you only have one. The young man nodded in satisfaction. Their conversation was interrupted when the driver suddenly stopped at the park as everyone had started to get down from the vehicle. Lucia and the young man were the last to get down from the vehicle. Lucia is surprised to see the young man working towards a group of officials and guards who had been waiting patiently for his return. A brand new luxurious electronic vehicle had already been prepared for him as he approaches it confidently. The Young man smiling as he stretches his hand towards Lucia. Do you want to come with me to my world? It might not be the best of comfort you desire or a street where you get to pick gold, but it’s definitely a place you get to enjoy all the luxuries you want. She feels lots of mixed emotions as she gladly takes the hand of the young man, as he ushered her into the beautiful Vehicle. By the way, I’m Dollar Gold. Lucia surprised. You’re Dollar Gold? The founder of the City of Gold?! Oh mine! So, It’s true. Am I really dreaming? I can’t believe this?! She said excitedly. I must be dreaming. Thinking. Am I really with the founder of the city of Gold. The youngest man alive to ever build a city made entire from gold. This I feel now, I have no regrets for stepping out of my comfort zone to actually experience something new in life. I feel like the luckiest person on earth. For those out there, praying to experience their own true desires, never give up. You never know when you meet your own magic if you dare take a leap of faith.

Episode 1

Times flashes back as Anastasia the Princess who has now appeared at the royal ball gorgeously dressed on a strip pink dress amazes all the royals and guests who were present. They stared at her with admiration in their eyes. Princes from other kingdom who had also come to celebrate his Majesty, 'King William's 60th birthday wanted to have a dance with the princess but she refuses them all. Some princess and nobles at the ball began to gossip behind her back. She's such a snob. i don't like her one bit. A princess said. Another Princess replied. You're right Princess Catherine. She thinks because her father, 'King Williams' is the strongest and most influential king in all 7 district kingdom, she can look down on us. She's just shameless. Princess Anastasia appears right in their midst as she overhears their conversation. Who are you referring to? She demanded an answer.

Princess Catherine replies her. We're just having a friendly conversation. It's none of your business. Princess Anastasia answered. Oh, really?! What Kingdom are you from by the way?. I'm from the Kingdom of Nama, one of the 7 district Kingdom in Nilefield territory. Why do you ask? she stared curiously at her. How about we play a little game. she smiled. Whoever losses get to be the servant of the other for all eternity. Princess Catherine thinking..... I wonder what this delusional princess is up to. I better act fast so i don't fall into one of her traps. Her look may be quite appealing but she's no friend of mine. So, what do you say? she asked. Don't tell me you're scared of a little challenge? Catherine answered. What if i decline your offer? No telling what you might do to me if i lose the game. What a loser. Anastasia mocks.

i guess your position as the princess of Nama is nothing to be proud of. Can you guess how lowly your people will speak of you when they get to find out what a coward you are. How dare you speak to me in such manner! she snorted. Who the hell do you think you are! She angrily held tightly unto Princess Anastasia neck in an attempt to straggle her. Suddenly, princess Anastasia heart begins to beat vigorously, as she groans aloud in pain. Princess Catherine frightened as she sees princess Anastasia collapse to the ground. She tries to escape but unluckily, the guards surrounded her. Where do you think you're running to princess? 'Her majesty' the Queen, Princess Anastasia’s mother appears as she slapped her hard on the face to the amazement of everyone at the ball.

Episode 2

Princess Anastasia was quickly carried away into her private chambers to be treated by the royal physicians. Meanwhile, Queen Natasha had threatened to get Princess Catherine thrown into the dungeon if she refuses to kneel and beg for mercy in the presence of all the guests at the ball. Princess Catherine in Panic quickly knelt down and began to tear up. Spare me 'Your Majesty'! Please, it wasn't intentional. I didn't mean to hurt Princess Anastasia. Believe me, It was just an accident. she laments. You should be grateful your father, 'king Alex' is a loving and kind man. I won't even think twice disposing you off for good. Thank your lucky stars I'm in a good mood tonight. You have no idea what I'm capable of when I get angry..... She exclaimed. Get lost this instant! I never want to see you anywhere near this castle. If you even think about returning, i will make sure i have your head on a stake!

Now, get lost! Princess Catherine quickly got up and ran hastily out of the ballroom. Queen Natasha dismissed the party as the guests all left the ballroom feeling dissatisfied. The next morning, Anastasia has fully recovered and out of bed. She opens the door and tries to leave her chambers but was stopped by two guards keeping guard of the entrance. What are you doing? Out of my way right now! Can't I even go out for some fresh air?! she exclaimed angrily. 'His Majesty' had commanded us not to allow you leave your room. He will have our heads if we do. A guard responded. I don't care what the hell happens to you guards! Out of my way this instant or you will have to face my wrath! She shouted. We're sorry 'Your Highness' but we can't disobey the King's order.

The guard answered her anxiously. She freaks out. Where's my Father?! I desire to speak with him right now! Queen Natasha and her female servants approaches them. What's wrong Anastasia? I heard you screaming? You look upset? Queen Natasha says. I just want to go out for some fresh air, mum? I hate been stuck in my room all day. She replies. Queen Natasha turns to the guards and female servants. I need you all to leave. I want to have a moment alone with the princess. Anastasia and the Queen walks into her chambers to have a private conversation as the Guards and female servant takes their leave. Why are you always making your father and I worry, Anastasia? You promised you were going to be in your best behavior when we allow you attend the ball but what did you do? You went and got yourself into trouble. Anastasia answered..... I'm sorry mum.

I just hated the fact people speak ill of me when they hardly even know me. I feel cheated mum. I wish there's something I could do to change their mind about me. Queen Natasha replies. Then, you could start by been friendly to them. A little courtesy won't do harm, will it? she frowns. Trust me mum, no one deserves to be treated with respect. I don't have to put down my guard just because of some losers. Your aunt will be returning to the castle at dawn tomorrow. I need you to be in your best behavior. Said, the queen. You mean the witch is back in the Kingdom?! she freaks out. Didn't someone said, she died? the queen answered her. Elina is well and alive, Anastasia. You should also be glad she now has a cure for your illness. This should call for a big celebration. The queen smiled. Anastasia thinking.... I don't trust the Witch one bit. I always feel there's something off about her. I will make sure I try to escape the castle before she shows up at dawn tomorrow. How do I escape then? She thinks hard

Episode 3

Towards noon, a female servant walks into Princess Anastasia chambers to offer her Lunch. She's about to leave as Anastasia demands she stays. I need a favor from you If you don't mind? As you wish 'your Highness'. I'm all ears. the female servant answered. There's a task I need you to carry out secretly for me. Can I trust you? Of course you can. Replied the servant. Come closer. Princess Anastasia instructed. The servant moves closer as Anastasia quietly whispers into her ears.

It has started to get dark. Anastasia gets ready to escape through the window of her chambers as her friend Christiana passes her a thick long rope which she easily uses to climb down unhurt. They both sneaked out of the castle unnoticed as they head towards the town in excitement. Anastasia exclaimed delightedly, "I finally made it out here alive"! I thought I was going to die of boredom. Christiana feeling concerned. I hope this was a good idea by sneaking you out of the castle. His majesty will have my head if anything bad happens to you. Anastasia assures her. You don't have to worry Christiana. I can take good care of myself. After a tiring long walk, they're about to reach Christiana home as they're suddenly surrounded by a group of thugs. Christiana begins to panic as she speaks nervously. This is so not my day! Leader of the thugs smiled, aren't you ladies gorgeous? How about you both spend the night with us inside our tavern and we will let you off without a scratch? Anastasia angry as she speaks out boldly. How dare you say such despicable thing to to us?! Do you have any idea who the hell I am?! Leader of the thug upset as he drags her roughly towards himself and tries to kiss her. Almost immediately, Anastasia heart begins to beat abnormally as she gasps desperately for air. Leader of the Thug exclaimed in panic. She had got the disease! We need to get the hell out of here! They all left the arena in haste leaving Anastasia to her fate. Christiana in tears as she tries to get her unconscious friend to wake up.

Anastasia wakes up to find herself in a strange cottage. She quickly got up from the bed she has been lying on and tries to sneak out of the room quietly. Going somewhere? A masculine voice is heard. Princess Anastasia amazed at the strange and handsome looking figure who had suddenly appeared in front of her. She stared enchantedly at him as she smiled hypnotized by his aura. Suddenly, she remembered the thugs who attacked her and her friend, Christiana. You're among the bad guys who attacked us on the street, aren't you?! She suddenly yelled at him. What did you do to my friend?! How did I get here?! What is this place?! Where the hell am I?! she begins to freak out. My father isn't going to spare you if anything happens to me! It will be in your best interest to set me free this instant! The strange guy takes a step towards her as she exclaimed in fright! Don't even come close or else?! she threatens. The stranger makes fun of her. Perhaps, you will lose your breath again, when I do. He smiled seductively as he immediately grabs her on the waist and stares deeply into her gorgeous black eyes. You were saying? Princess Anastasia nervous as she replies him nervously. How come my heart isn't reacting to you? Who the hell are you?! she blurted out.

Episode 4

Princess Anastasia quickly withdraws from the stranger as Christiana her friend walks into the room. Christiana signs in relief. Thank goodness you're alive, 'Your Highness'. I was so scared something bad was going to happen to you. Anastasia stares inquisitively at the stranger. Who's he? she asked. Christiana smiled. He's the hero who saved your life last night.

Anastasia confused. I thought he was among the thugs who had us kidnapped? Of course not. She replied. Let me formally introduce you both. Lex meet Princess Anastasia. She's the daughter of King William. The ruler of the kingdom of Parma. Lex speaks up. I've heard about your father, 'My lady'. The strongest and most influential King among the 7-district kingdom surrounding Nilefield. Loved by his citizens and said to have never lost a battle. Quite Impressive. I've always longed to meet him in person. Princess Anastasia replies. You haven't really said anything about yourself? What clan are you from and when you touched me earlier, why didn't I react to your touch? I prefer not to talk about my identity for now. He smiled. You should be glad I saved your life. Anastasia frowns. You like been mysterious, don't you? Too bad I don't find you attractive. Neither do I. Lex bluntly replies her. I'm only interested in knowing about your father. He smiled.

What a nuisance, she says. You're quite rude, 'My lady'. How do you intend to attract a noble man with a personality as unruly as yours? He replies her. Anastasia upset. I don't care what you think of me Mr.! You have no right to judge me when you don't even know me! she blurted out. First impression matters, 'my dear'. If you go on with this impulsive attitude of yours, you end up living a very lonely and unhappy life. She exclaimed in anger! You're just a nobody! You have no right to tell me what to do. Christiana interrupts their conversation. How about we go have something to eat and then after, you both can feel more relaxed and talk in a more favorable atmosphere? Lex replies.

I will have to ask my chef to prepare something delicious for us to eat. Permit me to take my leave. He takes one final look at Princess Anastasia and then exceeds the room. What's that about, 'Your Highness'? Said Christiana. I noticed you were so emotionally sensitive around him; you even lost your cool? You like him, don't you? Princess Anastasia replies. You're crazy, Christiana. Why will you even think such? Ugh! I can't even tolerate him for a second. He's such a hassle. A very arrogant man like him don't have a right to speak ill of me. Christiana smiled. I don't think you dislike him 'your Highness'. Why don't you just get to know him and then, you will see he's a very nice guy.

I doubt he has any ill feeling towards you observing the way he took proper care of you last night. Princess Anastasia surprised. He really did? She nodded. He took care of you all through the night. I doubt he even had a proper rest... Their conversation was interrupted as Lex's Chef rushes into the room in panic. We got trouble? What kind of trouble? Princess Anastasia asked. 'My master' is been interrogated by the guards your father had sent to fetch you. They think you're been held hostage by my master's men.... Christiana panics. Oh no! The King must have realized you've left the castle. I'm so dead! she begins to cry. Anastasia reassures them. You don't have to worry. I will go speak with the guards. She quickly walks out of the room to speak with the guards.

Episode 5

The King's guards are interrogating Lex about the whereabout of Princess Anastasia. Lex replies them. Be rest assured that no harm has come to the princess for she's save and sound under my protection. A guard exclaimed. How dare you lie to us?! We know you try to kidnap the princess so you can get a huge ransom from the King?! Isn't that, right? Do you have any prove on your allegations against me? Lex replied the guard calmly? Another guard hands Lex a beautiful blue hair pin belonging to the princess. Do you recognize what this is? The guard asked?

Lex carefully examined the hair pin. Of course, it's a hair pin mostly worn by maidens but this looks very unique and well designed. It's made specially for the royal families. You're right. The guard replied. This hair pin belongs to the princess. When we were searching for her, we saw it lying on the roadside. We decided to follow your foot track which led us right to this cottage. There's no reason to lie to us! The guard blurted out.

We know the Princess is been held captive inside your cottage. Princess Anastasia shows up. You're accusing the young man wrongly without prove. She replies them. The guards bows as they sighted her. This young man here saved my life after I was been attacked by a group of thugs. You should be thanking him and not interrogating him. We're sorry 'Your Highness'. The King and Queen are so worried about you. They thought you were been kidnapped and had us to come fetch you. A guard replies her. You heard the guards. You should head back home now. Your parents are worried about you. said Lex. Princess Anastasia replies him. How about you come with me to the castle?

I will introduce you to the King, 'My father'. I know you wish to have an audience with him. That won't be necessary, 'My lady'. He smiled. When the time is right, I will meet with the King. He gently takes her right hand on his and softly kisses it. Till then, stay save. Princess Anastasia smiled. Thank you for everything. He replies her. I'm glad you're alright, 'My Lady'.... Lex watches quietly as the Princess is been led away by the guards. He mutters silently. She reminds me of someone I really don't want to think about right now. No matter what, I will have to come up with a plan to save the emperor and the entire Kingdom of Tama.

After been scolded by the King and Queen, Anastasia is forced to remain in her chamber under the full supervision of the Guards. She lays down quietly on her bed as she started to day dream about her encounter with the stranger who came to her rescue. I wonder who he is. she mutters. I've never seen him in this Kingdom before... it's also possible he's not from the other 6 district Kingdom. His tone of voice is a bit different from ours. His aura doesn't seem like he's an ordinary guy.

she smiled. I really wish I could see him again. I have a feeling we're both connected somehow. My instinct can never be wrong.... You're right, Anastasia. Your destiny and that of that young man are intertwined.... Her aunt walks into her chambers as she speaks boldly aloud to her. Anastasia Exclaimed. Who gave you the right to walk in here without my permission?! The witch blurted out. Your attitude is the reason you haven't found a cure yet to your illness!

The Princess pissed off. You still have the courage to say that to my face when you're the very reason I have this illness. You cursed me and made me this way have you forgotten so sudden? You should be grateful you still have your head on your neck, witch! Will you get lost right this instant or I call the guards to throw you out?! Anastasia upset. Putting the blame on me wouldn't solve anything neither will it ease your grudges.

There's indeed a cure to your illness and that will be, a man must be willing to fall in love with you and accept you just the way you are and you must do likewise. Anastasia answered her sternly. You're joking right? How can I fall in love when I don't even have a heart that is normal? If there was a way to get rid of your curse, I will have done that long time ago. I will never forgive you for what you've done to me! read my lips, never! Now, I want you out of my room! As you wish, 'My lady'. Elina answered her as she leaves the room quietly. How dare she be so arrogant?! Anastasia blurted out.

Episode 6

Lucas, the leader of the Knights of the Kingdom of Parma was loved by the citizens of the Kingdom including the royal family. He was known for his great fighting skills and had never lost a war in battle. He was given the name, ‘The Handsome warrior Knight’ by the female citizens of the Kingdom. One sunny day, he shows up at the Castle as he approaches ‘His Majesty’ King William. Greetings, ‘Your Majesty’ Lucas bows to the King as he greets him. Welcome back, Lucas.

The king smiled. I’m so happy to see you. I know my daughter; Anastasia will be so excited you’re back. Since you left, she has been causing a lot of trouble for us. I wish I could just get rid of her right this instant by giving her in marriage to you. Lucas smiled. You don’t have to worry, ‘Your Majesty’. The Princess is just trying to be natural. She’s just like, every other maiden in the kingdom. Adventurous and always trying to explore the world around her.

How was your trip by the way? The King asked. It went well, ‘Your Majesty’. Just like we predicted, ‘The Witch’ is trying to launch an attack soon as she holds grudges against the people of Tama and their Emperor. I get to meet with the emperor and he specifically told me, he will be needing Military support from all nations and dignitaries and intends to form a strong ally. His son will be here soon to sign a treaty with you. What do you suggest we do? Should we sign the treaty? Of course, we know how powerful and extremely dangerous the witch has grown over the years with the battalion of soldiers on her side and allies.

Also, with her abilities to resurrect dead warriors and even dragons and beasts that are already known to be extinct, we’re definitely no match for her. We heard how she destroyed the three strongest Kingdom in the eastern part of Gasard who’re strong allies to the emperor. I’m not Confident we have enough military facilities and weapons to be able to defeat her in battle. Said the King. I think we should consider his offer, ‘Your Majesty’. Said Lucas. We don’t have to be scared of the evil witch and besides, we have your wife's sister as your strongest ally who’s also very powerful. If we get to win the war after forming an allegiance with the emperor, this will be a great feat for you and for our Kingdom in becoming the center of attraction.

Imagine what we could accomplish when we succeed? King William answered him. You sound like you trust the future of the Kingdom of Tama and his Emperor. Lucas smiled. I’m a friend with the son of the emperor. He’s a very skill full, intelligent, ambitious and powerful young man. I know he’s going to make a great Emperor one day and succeeds his father on the throne. King William replies. If you believe we have a upper advantage in the war, then, I give you my full support. Lucas bows…. I’m must privilege to have you as my King, ‘Your Majesty’. The King smiled.

I will be most proud to have you as a son-in-law. If only we can find a cure for her illness, then, you both can finally get to be together. As it looks now, she can't have any physical contact with anyone or else, she develops a difficulty in breathing which comes with extreme heart pain and makes her lose consciousness. Lucas smiles. I know well enough about her strange ailment and wish to find a cure for her as soon as possible. I'm happy you care a lot about her. The King said. I've always loved your daughter since the moment I was put in charge to be her protector. Can I make a request to see the princess? Of course, you can, Lucas. You have my blessings already…… Lucas leaves the King’s presence as he goes in search of Princess Anastasia.

Princess Anastasia and Lucas are taking a walk outside the castle gate. I’m really excited to see you, Lucas. Finally, I get to leave my chambers. I feel so free and invisible whenever you’re around. I get to be anywhere and do whatever I want. Anastasia smiled. I heard you’ve been causing quite a lot of disturbance since I left? Lucas said. I wonder what you’ve been up to? I was kind of bored just spending all day in my chambers. It’s not fun at all. She replies. So, you thought the best option was to sneak out of the castle? You know how dangerous it is for a young lady like you to sneak out of the castle alone without your guards accompanying you? If I was your father, ‘The King’, I would have scolded you without pardon. She smiled. You know you can’t Lucas because you’re my best friend. Lucas replies. I guess you will always see me that way. So, you want to tell me about this little adventure of yours? Yeah. Said Anastasia.

I plan on telling you when you returned from your trip. Alright. I’m all ears…. My friend Christiana assisted me in sneaking out of the castle and together, we went into town to spend the night at her place. Unfortunately for us, we were being attacked by a group of thugs and then, the leader of the thugs tried to harass me but I lost consciousness only to find myself in a strange cottage. Can you keep this a secret? Of course, ‘Your Highness’. He assures her. You know you can trust me? I met a mysterious young man, forgotten his name already. I owe him my life…. You’re quite strange, ‘Your Highness’? said Lucas. Why did you say so? she asked. You should never forget the name of your saviour who helped you out in the time of need. He answered. It’s strange that I keep thinking about him, you know…. even though I just met him once and he’s the only man who had touched me and my heart didn’t react.

Lucas surprised. How’s that even possible? I find it hard to believe. He stared at her charmingly. I’m also very jealous too…. Why? She stared at him puzzled. He achieved something I could never have the courage to do since I met you.

The truth is, I always wanted to…… their discussion was suddenly interrupted as a guard appears. Is something wrong? Lucas asked? The son of the Emperor of Tama has appeared and ‘His majesty’ seeks your presence. Lucas replied with a smile. Tell ‘His Majesty’ I will join him shortly. The guard bows as he takes his leave. The son of the Emperor of Tama is meeting with the King? but why? Lucas answered. His entire Kingdom is in danger and wants your father to join forces with him in battle. She smiled. I guess you have to go then. Good luck. Lucas tries to touch her cheek but quickly withdraws his hand. I will take my leave now. While I’m gone, I will send some guards to accompany you wherever you want to go. Promise me you will be of your best behavior while I’m away. She replies him. I promise. He bows politely and then walks away.

Episode 8

Lucas walks into the castle as he sees the King already having a friendly conversation with the son of the emperor. I want you to dine with us tonight. I will like to introduce you to the entire royal family. Said the King. Greetings, ‘Your Majesty’ Lucas bows. I’m so happy to see you, dear friend…. He smiled. King William speaks up. You don’t need to act shy in my presence, Lucas. I know how close you two are. ‘His Highness’ never stopped talking about you in your absence. He did? Lucas smiled. The emperor son stood up from his seat as they both embraced each other. You’re not looking bad Lucas. I bet you’ve become even stronger since the last time we met at the Tourglass tournament. The King asked curiously? You had a tournament? Yes, ‘Your Majesty’. Answered Lucas. It was a contest to win who the strongest warrior is within the 4 central territories. We were the only two warriors who won the tournament in a tie. We became very close friends since then. I’m quite impressed. Said the King. I believe the world is in save hands when we have two warriors as skill full and powerful as you two 'young men'.

I have a request to make, ‘Your Majesty’. Said the Emperor’s son. Permit me to take my leave for I have to visit few more Kingdoms to sign the allegiance agreement with them, and then; we can prepare for battle. Time is no longer on our side. How about I come with you then? Lucas sked in anticipation? You will definitely need a company. Are you sure about this, Lucas? It's going to be a tuff journey? If the King permits me, then, I have no objection. The king answered. You have my permission, Lucas. You both go have fun and I hope to see you again, ‘Your Highness’. Definitely……. Lucas and the son of the emperor leaves the Castle as they’re set for their journey.

Episode 9

The Son of the emperor and Lucas set off for their journey as the guard who was sent to look after Princess Anastasia came running towards them gasping for breath. Sorry to interrupt you ‘My lord’ but the Princess had escaped. Lucas upset. What do you mean escaped?! What were you doing when she escaped? She told me she wanted to have her bath in the pool of Nile. She said she wanted privacy and asked me to leave until she’s done. When I returned, she was gone. Son of the Emperor curious…… has she always been this way? Lucas replied with a smile. She has always had an eye for adventure and exploring the outside world but due to her strange ailment, she had been confined to stay only within the walls of the castle. Son of the Emperor replies…… How about we go look for her? Who knows where she might be? She could be anywhere. What about your mission? Said Lucas. My mission can wait.

Helping you find the Princess should be my top priority for now. He answered. I’m so sorry for the inconvenience, ‘good friend’. It’s alright Lucas. I know you quite well. The Princess is your top priority and you will do anything to make sure she doesn’t come to any harm. I guess I will have to postpone the trip until she’s found. Lucas replied with a smile. I’m grateful Friend. The Son of the emperor Answered. How about we head to the pool where she escaped? There we can find out where she's headed. Let’s go then……. They quickly climbed onto their horses as they ride away heading towards the pool of Nile.

Meanwhile, Princess Anastasia had walked for a long while and eventually, she reaches a seaside. She sees a boat right in the middle of the sea but no one inside it. She exclaimed. Is there anyone out there?! No reply was heard. She decided to check it out for herself as she jumped into the sea and started to swim towards the boat. She reaches the boat as she examined it carefully. It looks like this boat hasn’t been used for decades. She sits on it and started to paddle towards the other side of the sea……. Reaching the other side of the sea, she quickly got out from the boat and landed on dry land. She looks around to see if she could find something interesting and eventually, she sighted a temple a few kilometres away.

She smiled. I guess I have to check that out…. she quickly walked towards the temple. I wonder if there’s anyone inside the temple? She mutters quietly to herself. Finally, she reaches the temple. It looks so dead quiet. She spoke. She walked into the temple and started to examine it. She sees strange images, sculptures and carvings crafted uniquely on the walls of the temple. It seems like this temple hasn’t been used for years. I wonder why? Suddenly, the temple grows darker as she started to hear strange voices. We want your soul, Anastasia! Give us your soul! She freaks out. Who the hell are you?! The strange voices echoed louder. We’re the souls of the witches burnt to the stake by the worshippers of this temple. We’re here to take away your soul……. Laugher is heard a loud as Anastasia screamed in fright as she takes to her heels…

Episode 10

Princess Anastasia continues to run as she tries to leave the temple but discovers she couldn’t find her way out. She freaks out. What’s going on?! I thought it was just one exit that leads out of this temple, how come there’re so many exits? I need to find my way out of here before those witches come for my head. It’s so dark, I can hardly see a thing. She glances around to see if she could find a light spot or perhaps a lamp, she could use to find her way around. Anastasia screamed out in fright as she sees a strange figure pointing a magical shining object at her. I’m sorry if I've frightened you, princess. The stranger tries to calm her down. Anastasia surprised. How do you know who I am and what exactly is that you’re holding? She pointed curiously at the shining object in the lady’s possession. The strange lady replied. My name is Diana, ‘the daughter of the great warlord, Lord Oliver’. I’m a witch apprentice and use to be a worshipper in this temple. This white shining object is a magical crystal which can ward off evil spirits and scary ghosts. It was given to me by my mistress right before she was killed by the people who worshipped in this temple. They sacrificed her to their god ‘Atheist’.

Why will they do such horrible thing? That’s barbaric. Diana answered. Long before this temple was built, there was an evil witch called ‘Athena’. She brings terror to the people of the land. Just because she was so powerful and terrifying, she forces the people of the land to sacrifice their children and wives to her, and uses their blood to become even stronger and powerful. She even went as far as committing unimaginable atrocities by killing the sacred dragon that save guard the energy force of the people. Once the dragon was gone, Athena became even more dangerous and heartless. The people knew at that instant they had to do something about her evil reign unless, there will no longer be a town to protect. They secretly built this temple without her knowledge and they carved a golden image known as Atheist, ‘the god of revenge’. They prayed to their god to get rid of the evil witch, ‘Athena’ and in return, they will sacrifice all her offspring's and entire clan to him. Finally, a breakthrough came, as they lured Athena into the temple in pretense, they were going there to worship her and adore her with gifts and offerings but unknowingly to her, that was the day she was going to be executed and her head be put on the stake for the eagles to feast on.

She entered the temple as arrows kept flying from all direction as they aimed towards her. She was stabbed hard by one of the town’s warriors and eventually collapsed to the ground bringing an end to her evil reign. I guess she deserved what she got. Said Anastasia. How do we get the hell out of here then? By the way, don't tell me you're also trapped here to be sacrificed as well? Diana answered. I guess you're right. she smiled faintly. An apprentice to a witch is also a witch. When the people raided my mistress store house, she made a telepathy spell that allowed me escape but not enough for her to escape too. So, she was captured. Your mistress is a good witch, I must confess. She sacrificed herself for you to escape safely. Not all witches her that nice. Anastasia said. My aunt is a witch who I hate the most in the world. She's the reason why I've been living with a terrible illness since my 18th birthday. Now, I don't know how it feels like anymore to live a normal life. I ran away from home because of my resentment towards my family but now, I'm stuck in a cursed temple. I guess my fate isn't so lucky anymore. Diana assures her. Don't worry Princess. We will surely find our way out. How do you know I'm a Princess? Anastasia asked. Have you forgotten I'm a witch apprentice. Diana smiled. I guess you are. She replied her. You're save for now Princess. This Crystal will shield you from all evil ghost. Just stay with me while we figure out how to find our way out of the temple. Anastasia smiled. I don't feel alone when I have a company like you, Diana.

I'm glad you're here. By the way, won't the worshippers of this temple get angry when they see us inside the temple? Won't they think we're intruders? Diana replied. Trust me, the worshippers don't show up until it's time to sacrifice a witch they've captured to their gods. Almost immediately, they heard a loud noise like a door being cracked open. Anastasia exclaimed. I think the noise is coming from the entrance.... She tries to run towards the entrance as Diana quickly stopped her. What if they're the worshippers of the temple? We can't just run into their arms without a vivid plan. What do we do then? Anastasia started to panic as the walking steps of their supposed enemies seems to be getting closer towards their direction.

Episode 11

As the steps drew closer and closer, Diana and Princess Anastasia quickly hid themselves close to the pillars of the temple. Anastasia praying silently that she doesn’t get caught. Just then, she heard her name being called aloud. Princess Anastasia! Your Highness! Anastasia thinking. I recognize that voice! Lucas! She blurted out. As she quickly comes out of her hiding spot. How did you find me? Lucas tries to embrace the Princess but suddenly stopped himself. Diana who had just come out of her hiding spot goes to meet them. Friend of yours? She asked. I’m Lucas, ‘Knight of the kingdom of Parma and you’re?’ Shouldn’t we all leave the temple before chatting any further? I’m as scared as hell. As you wish Princess. Lucas replied. I will lead the way. Just then, the emperor son shows up and exclaimed

The door to the entrance is locked, Lucas! I tried opening it but to no avail. I guess we’re trapped in here for now…. Princess Anastasia thinking. Seems like I’ve heard this voice before but not sure where? It sounds pretty familiar although I can’t see his face because it’s pretty dark in here. Who is he? Anastasia asked. Lucas answered. He’s the emperor son I talked to you about who came to pay your father a visit today. Could it be because the temple is cursed that’s why we can’t find our way out? Anastasia frowns. How did you guys find me by the way? Lucas replied. We tracked your footsteps all the way here. We saw this strange boat right in the middle of a sea and we felt it could lead us to you.

Our instinct was right, as we saw your foot mark as soon as we arrived on dried ground which led us right into this temple. Thanks, guys, for coming to my rescue. She smiled. You always know how to make others worry about you, don’t you? The son of the emperor speaks up. Anastasia replies. I’m sorry ‘Your Highness’ if I made such kind of first impression. Trust me, this isn’t our first meeting.

He replied softly. What do you mean? She asked. Diana interrupts their conversation. Shouldn’t we be thinking about finding a way to escape this temple? Lucas answered. I think we should look for a clues around but we all need to stick together so we don’t get lost, since it’s still pretty dark in here. They walked from one spot to the other, staring at the walls for any clues as the magical crystal guides the way.

Finally, they walked into a strange room as Anastasia accidentally stepped on dead human bones scattered all around the room. She freaks out! Arrgh!!! What is this place?! I think this is where the worshippers store the bones of the witches they’ve murdered on stake. Said Diana. How sad. Anastasia laments. I think I’ve found something? Diana stares at a magical compass on the floor as she picks it up. She smiled. I found a compass. Lucas replies. Perhaps this will lead us safely out of the temple. Not so fast! A wizard with a strange long red hair and putting on a dark clothing appeared as he frightens them. Who’re you? They stared anxiously. The wizard smiled devilishly. I’m the reincarnation of Athena. You can call me ‘the mighty wizard Oaktas. I can’t let you out here alive…. You're all done for! He started to laugh evilly.
